On Friday, Dan, my mom & I attended the Glass Craft and Bead Expo 2019. It was at the South Point Casino in Las Vegas. (One of the great things about living in Vegas – shows come to you!) Apparently, it happens every year, and this is the 25th year. I was looking primarily for specialty beads that I could use as a focal point for necklaces, and pieces I could wire wrap.

Everything was so SHINY! It was overwhelming. It would be easy to get carried away. (As you can see, my mom and I both have a penchant for paisley.)

I may do some wire wrapping on these.

And on these.

My mom bought these, so I can make some earrings for her with them.

But I’m loving these too!

These are carved jade from China. They are pretty good sized, so I’m not sure what I’m going to do with them. But at $4.00 each, I couldn’t pass them up.

A good opportunity to pick up some bead colors I didn’t have.

The expo goes on through the weekend, and one ticket gets you in all three days. That said, one day was enough for me. Although, I’m already planning to attend next year.

  1. What gorgeous beads! I love your favourites! I would have found all this gorgeous, shiny brightness very hard to resist. Thank you for sharing your experience at South Point Casino with us at the Hearth and Soul Link Party,

  2. My daughters would love to go to a show like this! I like those rounded beads in the second photo best. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Glad I found you through Penny’s linkup.

    1. Those rounded beads really are beautiful. I didn’t feel like my photo did them justice. Thanks so much for stopping by!

    1. It really was hard to choose! And the prices on a lot of items was less expensive than can be purchased online. I just kept telling myself that the show would return next year.
