Another Keeper

Amazon Stone Pendant

Another keeper! Yeah…., that means it’s not good enough to sell, so I am going to keep it. (I also like it too much to take it apart.)

I’m actually rather proud of this, although it is far from perfect. The weaving pattern is straightforward (unlike many), but performing the weaving is not. You have to keep track of three separate wires simultaneously. It feels like herding cats.

Here is how it should look:

The weaving is smooth and tight – and lovely. I watched this video made by CSL Designs to learn how to do this open bezel weave. I did not make my bail (the top loop) the same as she did as that is also new to me. Instead, I did one with which I am already familiar.

I love the way the copper looks with the Amazonite stone. It will look even nicer after it is antiqued.

  1. Perfection is highly over-rated! It looks lovely and you will enjoy wearing it. I’m stopping by from Wendy’s Linky Party, hope you’ll stop by to visit me too. (#20 on her list.)
