I made this wire wrapped pendant awhile back. At the time, I wasn’t sure it was good enough, despite the fact it was the best wire wrapped pendant I had made up to that point. I ignored it – temporarily. Eventually, I chatted with my husband about the pendant, and he helped me to better shape the bezel to the stone (strong fingers). Then I antiqued it. Voilà! I love it!
While the pendant lounged in my ongoing projects tray, I had time to consider the necklace I would create with it. The necklace needed to be simple enough, so that the agate would be star. But it also needed to be…, pretty enough to be worthy of that beautiful stone. Did I succeed?
As much as I love this blouse, I need to find one that is a better match for the necklace. And take more photos.
I think it is stunning and unusual. It’s fun to take something out of storage, look at it with fresh eyes and continue or redesign it. It’s like it wasn’t meant to be finished back then. Congrats on your advancing wire-weaving skills!
Thanks so much, Sandy!
