Welcome to the Creative Compulsions Linky Party #33! This week, being distracted by our upcoming trip for the Halloween wedding, I returned to coloring.
Coloring is such a relaxing past time. And it gets me out of my own head. I am so happy that I re-discovered it. While I love all my hobbies, this is the only one I would describe as effortless.
(If you are interested, I have provided a link to the coloring book and colored pens I am using, below.)
So what have you been up to?
Creative Compulsions Link Up Party Guidelines
Here is the opportunity to share your creative endeavors – paintings, drawings, afghans, quilts, clothes, jewelry, stained glass, upcycling, photography etc. The only criteria is that you made it yourself. It doesn’t have to be finished – share during your process and update in the weeks to come. Please share actual projects that you have done or are working on, not just tutorials about what you’d like to do. No recipes please.
You can share anything on the Internet – blogs (mostly what I will be sharing); Instagram, Facebook and Twitter posts; pictures; and YouTube videos. The only requirement is that it be of something you’ve created. I will delete entries that don’t adhere to this criteria.
The party opens at 4AM PST on Thursday, and closes at 11:55 PM, Sunday. You may share as many projects as you like during that time. I would appreciate if you would post a link to the blog party when linking in order to spread the love. Please, take a look at what others have shared. We all love receiving comments.
Check out where I link up!
The companies with which I have affiliated myself are companies with whom I have actually done business. Therefore, I can make these recommendations based on my positive experiences.
Here the links to the coloring book and pens I am using:
I color once in awhile and have a book someplace! I have a container of coloring pencils as well it can be relaxing
It really is, Karen! The only issue I have is that the pens make my dog run off into the other room. I’m not sure why. I assume it’s the smell. To me they have none, but he really doesn’t like them.
Thank you for the linky party. It’s been ages since I have sat down to color anything other than a quilt.
Color is why I love quilting so much! And endless array of color and texture. Thank you for linking up!
I know many that enjoy adult coloring books, but the detail of most of them actually make me really anxious! Thanks for the linky opportunity. 🙂
I can understand how the detail could feel overwhelming. It doesn’t bother me with the coloring, but I have other areas that can elicit that response, like those who crochet with teeny seed beads.
Colouring is so relaxing!! Yours looks beautiful!!

Thank you, Soma! I had a feeling you would relate.
I love coloring! I find it very therapeutic.
Happy Tuesday, Michelle.
It really is, isn’t it?
